The Recreation & Parks Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 110 E. Cook Street, Santa Maria.

Five Commissioners are nominated by individual Councilmembers, appointed by the Mayor, and confirmed by the City Council to serve four-year terms and/or coterminous with the nominating Councilmember's term.

Recreation & Parks Commission Commissioners are required to file Statements of Economic Interests pursuant to the City of Santa Maria's Conflict of Interest Code with full disclosure of personal assets, income, and business interests. All Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) are required to be filed online upon assuming and leaving office, and annually. AB 1234 Ethics Training (every 2 years) - All members of City of Santa Maria Boards/Commissions/Committees and Elected Officials are required to complete a training for AB 1234 Ethics Training every two (2) years. This training may be accomplished online through a training portal provided by the Human Resources and Clerk's Office staff.  

Anti-Harassment Training (every 2 years) - All members of City of Santa Maria Boards/Commissions/Committees and Elected Officials are required to complete a training for Anti-Harassment Training every two (2) years. This training may be accomplished online through a training portal provided by the Human Resources and Clerk's Office staff.
