Reviews and maintains the master plan for each County library service zone, makes recommendations to ensure adequate library services to all, determines the per capita level of service, reviews budgets, considers site locations and building programs, reviews the operation of the library, and so forth.
Board Information
This Committee meets quarterly on the 3rd Wednesday (March/June/Sept/Dec) at the Cachuma Lake Recreation Hall at 10:00 a.m.
Term runs concurrently with the Countywide library contract ending each fiscal year. Fourteen members are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. The Mayor nominates one member to be ratified by the City Council.
AB 1234 Ethics Training (every 2 years) - All members of City of Santa Maria Boards/Commissions/Committees and Elected Officials are required to complete a training for AB 1234 Ethics Training every two (2) years. This training may be accomplished online through a training portal provided by the Human Resources and Clerk's Office staff.
Anti-Harassment Training (every 2 years) - All members of City of Santa Maria Boards/Commissions/Committees and Elected Officials are required to complete a training for Anti-Harassment Training every two (2) years. This training may be accomplished online through a training portal provided by the Human Resources and Clerk's Office staff.
